Chuchel. The Looney Tunes game

Simple, short, pretty, cheery, CHERRIES!

Even if you`re not largely into point and click adventure genre you might`ve heard the name Amanita Design, a small Czech studio that delivered classics like Machinarium or Samorost. Their games are known for wonderful and bizarre worlds full of likeable characters. This one is not an exception.

The game has a collectible system where you get badges(?) for unlocking stuff.
The game itself is about a black, fuzzy thing with an orange hat and its love for cherries. There is no story besides that, just a collection of random levels where the protagonist`s cherry is taken away and we as the player must help retrieve it. This is reminiscent of old Roadrunner and Coyote cartoons, where the main character of the story is constantly bent on achieving its goal but never quite does.

The game is simple and very short. It took me around 1.5 hours to complete with checking the tip card once (instead of almost constantly when it came to later levels of Machinarium). This leads me to believe that the main demographic is thought to be children.

Cherry being the end goal of any level or the whole game. Quite deep and meaningful, actually.
Aesthetically the game is simpler with barely any background, but is still pleasing with a delightfully weird world around the protagonist that it fits in perfectly. The game presents a lot of adorableness and visual gags, coupled with nice and wacky soundtracks.

Levels are simple. Nothing a few clicks here and there cant solve.
Personally, I consider a price tag of US$10 a bit too high for a short game, but other than that it provided me with an entertaining evening. 8/10 personal score, definitely a fun game to explore.
